This never gets old does it, I just love getting new stuff out of the polish. Lake Superior Agates. These are nickel to quarter size. I had a dime in for scale but wanted to keep them bigger sized so cropped the pics. Dig the pastel one on the left ... wish it was bigger. Bullseye closeups ... these are small pieces that I polished for my daughters project, just wanted to show the neat eyes. Some neat patterns in these, mostly dime size. More for my daugther's projects. And a few pieces of amethyst. Thanks for looking. Cher

Wow, great banding on those agates. The ones I've found so far don't have nearly as much bands. and I have yet to find those bulleyes agates. Guess I have to get further away from Lake Superior to find those LOL.
Haven't done any Amethyst yet, but it's getting harder to resist when I see how good they look polished.

I've never seen a more perfect eye before, once again, wishing it was bigger. I think I'm going to put it on ebay just for s&g ... there's some collectors that really dig those eyes.

those are fantastic! i couldn't get the 5th pic to come up. the eyes are SO cool, and i love the banded ones, Botswana agate got nothing on Lakers! can't wait to see what the ones i got tumbling turn out like.
you could sell that one perfect eye to the Target Stores!
noone would believe that was a natural occurence.
way to go, Cher!
and no, you never get over that "just out of polish" excitement! (is that like "new car smell?") KD

Very nice. You do have the patience to let them run as long as they need too. And ya know what? I have 4 lakers you gave me in polish now and... Youre gonna be jeeel-lous I want to make things with that anathyst sooo bad! Maybe I waited long enough on this batch, but you won't jealous of those cookie

It's just darn sad that the bullseye is so small, the stone is only 1/2 inch across but it is just perfect so it went to ebay. We'll see what happens. Kim, I just got my gold-filled wire today so yes, I'm anxious to try something. I figure I can use the craft wire to brain-storm the ideas then redo it in the gold. (ok, I'm still chicken)
LOL ... KD, that's exactly right, like a new car smell. I'm sorry the amethyst didn't show for you, it came up this time.
Cookie ... your killing me, I'm dying to see what you got. I know I sent them to you but that doesn't mean much, I couldn't see inside when I sent them.
Thanks everyone for your kind remarks and compliments. I really appreciate it.

CHER- WOW WOW WOW Target ROCK! (singing to Target theme) Were those the ones you collected (or was it your son?) Can't remeber. But oh they came out sooo nice- I think I'm gonna get me some of that stuff- I have seen some tumbling grade for around 3 to 4 bucks a pound- won't be as nice as that stuff but I want LS AGATES! great job!

These were some that I found, the bullseye was just laying on a gravel road and the eye was only visible on one side. I had no idea it had an eye like that as all I could see was the edge. The thing with Lakers, unless it's been broken, is you never know what you'll find inside until you tumble off the outside layers. I've been trying all morning to find a way to wrap this round one (on the right in the pic) but I've just about given up on it. It's a gorgeous stone, but the shape is not the best for wrapping. I'm seriously thinking of trying to drill it and just putting a bail on it. Cher
