I did try something similar to that this morning, it clutters it up too much and detracts from the banding. I'ts got to be something simple but with enough to hold the stone. It's very "round" so it's hard to get anything to hold securely.

Mine was in the shape of a cameo and it is very hard to hold on to but you don,t need to hold on to it until you've done a few rows of beading then you start to close it off and it should hold better *but that's just me*

Sort of like a ball that was broke in half, rounded on the back side but uneven on the front. Like I said though, I did try something simliar and there was just too much, it took away from the stone itself. If it was flat, it would be easier but with the uneven front it's making itself very frustrating.

What about drilling the top of stone then epoxying an eye (something small and gold) to it? The stone stands on its own and really just needs something very simple! Or start up the TumbleCher contest and give it away (just teasing now way I would give up a stone that nice- don't know how some do?) Could that be mounted on a flat surface (like a tietack)?

I mentioned drilling it and my hubby almost had a bird. He thinks I should just put it on ebay the way it is and see if I could sell it.
I couldn't drill it from the top, I don't have a drill press so I'd never be able to hold it. I'm thinking drill front to back and do a simple bail that way. It's too big for a tie tack or anything like that.

Hmmm That would be a very cool look- Your gonna have to get the hole just right- but I'm seeing it- How much do you think it could get on Ebay? Some of them go for a nice chunk-o-change!

No idea, guess it would depend on the agate need of the moment. LOL I put the target eye up, there's four watchers but I figure it's probabaly all people I know so I'm not too excited about it. Anyone here marked it to watch?

Have you given up on epoxy and bell caps? It's all I do. You just need to play with the epoxy and use toothpicks to apply it in a very thin layer.

Me and glue ... hahahahahaha trust me, I do way less damage with the dremel. I still can't believe what a major mess I made out of that thing. To be honest Cookie, I just haven't tried it again after the last mess. I've been trying to work more on learning how to wrap.
