Got to get out yesterday for a few hours with two of my boys. It's always a competition to see who finds the best Fairburns. I thought I had it until one of them found this beauty. I'll post mine tomorrow.😐 Pictures of both sides.

Congrats to who found it. Very nice. I'll tell him, thanks. The funny thing is that he found it just like that, no digging required and its a place re hunt regularly. They're still out there waiting... 😀

Nice , you guy’s really have the luck nice finds. I am headed up that way in a couple weeks . I added 2 days to our trip this year to go rock hounding. Palmer gulch is becoming one of our annual summer trips. I tried to plan our trip on the nicest week. But summer weather in South Dakota can be unpredictable.

Plenty of things to to for the kids and grandkids. Not to mention I think it is in a great location. Super clean and the staff is on top of things 100%, last summer we didn’t get to hound . But this year two days are planned for just that.

One year we did some old time family photos there, all dressed up like the wild west. It was fun! 😁

Outdone by the kids?! Nothing like a little pain and pride at the same time! Do they collect, tumble, cab, etc. or do they turn them over to the old man?

Here's the 3 that I found on Saturday. The last one (2 pics) is the one that I thought I had beaten my son with, until he found his. Oh well, I'm very happy with finding 3 in one day! Thanks for looking. Sweet!

Al Well, he is 29 years old so I guess I have to let him have his moment in the sun! Seriously it's all in good fun, he's the one that got me started with rocks. They pitched in and got me the QT66 for Christmas (all I had was a 33b) so I gave him one of my barrels to tumble with. He is the only one that tumbles but they both collect Fairburns.
