I picked up some itty bitty slabettes of OJ that were very nice, but small and cheap. I like cheap.
Certainly couldn't resist the red. I got quite a few decent sized cabs from these. Nice agatey ones, too.
37x30
34x21 My fav- It's got it all, color, orbs, floating orbs, agate and cog wheels. This was dopped for a long time- figured I'd do it with the rest of them 45x26 41x27 Really nice floaters tried out some new stuff, too and got a morgan hill done from a recent purchase
cathedral agate 38x28
kyanite high dome- much nicer in the hand
MHPJ with healed fractures. Very stable stuff. Cabbing was a breeze 43x29
I listed this before, but the colors look more right on this- I'm calling it laguna agate 61x36
New- Caribbean coral. Pretty cool stuff. It isn't smooth. There is texture from the recessed polyps. Word is that all there is is from one massive head.
Thanks for looking.

Wonderful cabs! My favorite is the one that sat on a dop for a long time; it's a nice combination of bold, contrasting shapes and values that just seem to fit in the cab shape that you chose.

Most of the OJ are pears because I was trying to get the most bang for my buck out of those slabettes. Plus, it worked out that the best parts of them fit the pears.

'Negative space' Have you ever used the term and gotten a strange look? I used to paint in watercolors primarily as a hobby and negative space was a term that I avoided when discussing paintings.

LOL! Yes, I have. I used to paint with acrylics and even took an art class. That's where I learned about it and I'm glad I did. It can make you appreciate things in a whole new way.

The white polishes up really well, but the dark obviously doesn't. It's different. I like it.
