My work bench has 1000 scraps and it is like a pack rat and takes a preform and leaves a scrap. I had a piece of Nipomo that needed further trimming and disappeared. I found a very nice scrap of Stefoinite. I've cut a lot of Stefoinite but not recently. I remembered the smell but not how hard it was. I'm ready to move on to 325 tomorrow with 5 cabs including this one and maybe a Morrisonite that has been bucking dop sticks. Through 220/280 soft.

I'll need to take pictures these again. Best I could do now with available light. Hornitos - some pits Pet wood - best polish Morrisonite Guadalupe - cab is square OJ - some pits and a flat spot lower right that photographs worse than it is and it is also square.

When I was buying stefoinite, I would try every possible spelling. I seem to like material that is trouble; stefoinite, Tahoma, Morgan Hill and Montana. Stefoinite has fractures and bad soft areas that have pits. I wouldn't spend anything close to the asking price for that chunk and would like to have it faced before considering any offer.

Wow, those are some pretty amazing rocks you picked up there. The OJ is practically unreal. I really like the shape and color of the dark red Hornitos one though. I just finished a cab with a similar freeform shape. Thank you for sharing.
