I drew a 40x30 pear shape on a thick slab and liked the scene. A slab can be two dimensional until cut into. After grinding the perform, I realized the blue/gray at the top might disappear completely and I didn't know if I wanted to spend the time grinding down a large 7mm slab. A little blue/gray remained and I rally like the pattern at the bottom. Through 280/220 soft.

I think that you came out ahead with this one. The blue/gray got smaller but its shape and pattern became more interesting as did the transition from the lighter to darker yellows/browns. Nice!
