I checked my 3 pounders full of rocks in coarse this morning and decided that I finally had enough to move on to stage 2, both cabs that I've made and a few stones. However, I did find this one with a big, fat chip. I'm hoping I can save it, I really like this stuff. If you look closely at the pic of the back you'll see a small crack- I'm planning on dremeling the side with the chip and I'm hoping it doesn't break in half.  Cross your fingers, please!   |

The nice thing about free forms is that they can be saved. The original shape is nice. When re-cutting the change on one side will probably effect how it fits with the other sides probably making more work to get a new shape that you like.

That's probably why I like free forms so much- it gives me a chance to recover from my mistakes.  Worked on it for a little bit yesterday at lunch and I'll finish fixing it today then put it into the tumbler again and see what happens! |

I like the second shape better than the first. Thank you, I think I do also. It made me work on the girdle a little more- you can't see it in the pics but it was too thin before and now it's thicker and more uniform. |
