Just wondering what everyone prefers, as I might be listing many estate finds for sale soon.
This poll is related to auction with minimum bid vs an upfront price and mixed boxes vs one specific type of rock.
Thank you for participating.

I think any kind of auction will give more people a chance at given materials, a specific price limits the chance for everyone to buy.

JMHO.I can see the merits of both, which is why I posted the poll.

My vote is a stated price for whatever it is, mixed or specific type, so I didn't vote.
I don't even bother to finish reading the sales description once I see it is an auction here. (charity auction aside)

My personal preference is BIN (buy it now) at the clearly stated price with clearly stated freight terms. What seems to be a very popular method here is to list multiple boxes in the same post and let folks claim the box they want. If a box goes unsold the folks are letting you know they don't see the value in it.
At the end of the day it's your choice based on an individual product and your assessment of how much you think the product is worth. I personally tend to pass on auctions because I know it's going to quickly pass where I feel like participating. At the same time - as noted above charity auctions are an entirely different animal.
Edited to add: Yeah, I can't really vote in the poll because either BIN scenario, mixed or individual, is valid.

Definitely stated pricing. I just don't like bidding, I never seem to win.
