Looks like the color follows the seams. Can you tell if it goes very far into the rock?

In some places it is all the way through. Rock is about 2.75" thick.

Have you looked at the mine data? Could the host rock be limestone?

Have you looked at the mine data? Could the host rock be limestone? Yes, I have been studying the mine a lot. Host rock is strange. Some of the pieces have what appears to be Limonite as the host. There are other pieces of Limonite in the collection. I am going to do a scratch and magnet test on this one eventually.
