kellykellykelly, are you sure it's an agate? Does it seem unusually heavy? Just judging from your images and your comment that it has a metallic sheen, I wonder if it might be a hematite nodule. It sure looks like one to me.

Did it have the metallic sheen before using a steel brush? Did the brush cause your sheen perhaps?

I am with rockstock... the wire brush can leave that sheen. It looks like agate to me and a good one at that.
Just sayin'....

I must have been reading fast and missed the "steel" part of brushing the stone. Yes, that could definitely cause a metallic sheen. I've had it happen to my stones.

Yes I used a metal steel brush: Thanks Stonemon and Rockstock. I will re-wash it. I will not use a steel brush anymore. I will re-take photos of this and post again because I think with the metallic sheen it is hard to see the windows and small bands in other areas.
