First one looks a lot like nuummite. You may be correct if it has blue flashes. That last piece really intrigues me, and like the wraps on all.

Love the OJ. Nuumite really is hard to describe. I say it looks like different colored Christmas tinsel in the rock.

Lots of stuff being marketed as nuummite these days, most of which I suspect is something else. Nuummite really should have some blue in the iridescent flashes (multicolor as you shift under the light, but predominantly blue in the Greenland material I've had). Could certainly be another interesting amphibole mix (with hornblende, arfvedsonite and who knows what else). The golden shards reminds me more of so-called "Galaxy Granite" (anorthosite gabbro with golden scales of enstatite). Couldn't get to the video without a login. Intriguing piece, whatever it is.

Kind of looks like astrophyllite to me.

Kind of looks like astrophyllite to me. I was thinking that, too, after seeing the video.

If it golden shimmers are clusters of needle-like crystals, then astrophyllite in something would be possible. Cannot tell from the still photo. Astrophyllite is soft, and always in something else, which makes it a pain to polish without severe undercutting, so you'd have noticed that when sanding and polishing.

Wow, it looks like you are really getting busy with these groove wraps. I imagine that it makes it easier to decide how to wrap all of those difficult ones that have just been kicking around for years. That is cool! I like the "Tenorite with a little chrysocolla running through it". That is a really beautiful and unique stone. The "Dryhead agate" piece sort of looks like a Christmas stocking that is hung over the fireplace.

Thanks guys, it's a good solution for the cabs I cut too thick. Now I'm starting to cut a slab here & there just so I can do some grooving.
