Love the moss. At first, I thought you were going to say Tommy sent it to you. He had some exactly the same. Beautiful stuff. Yes I concur with the 'exactly' part. The moss shapes are highly distinctive. I'd love to cut more of it up one day soon but my saw has a temporary restraining order against me lol. Just kidding but yeah my saw is still back at the old house - still trying to decide if I can and will try to force it into our painfully small back yard here in Napa. |

Do you know where your stock originated? I was kind of hoping you knew haha. I was told by a rockhound that it was absolutely positively from the Crooked River region in Oregon but I don't know personally - I bought it at an estate sale. It was (and is) too big for my saw vice but I was able to whack off a corner and have made a dozen or so cabs from it - and given a little bit away here and there.   Is that what that is? I think I have a piece of it as well. Since I didn't self collect either, all I can say for location is rock show, estate sale, yard sale or swap meet, lol. Will try to find it later today. It is some really pretty stuff! |
