i decided to give this stuff a try and i'm very pleased with this latest bach of strays and do-overs. the photos don't do'em justice, the shine is candy apple. operator error with the camera no doubt trying to catch the last of the days sunlight! do you see the peacock? just here in winter (@#%!) wonderland.. cabin fever strikes deep, into your heart it will creep. these were left in the CPP polish for two weeks after being in prepolish for two weeks and medium grind for two as well. because these are mostly all do overs, a single recipe isn't the truth as some of these have spent many weeks in coarse. i had trouble with one of my barrels today not wanting to turn after i recharged it, but thanks to the info on this board, i knew what to do (sand and clean the rollers and barrel) and voila! thanks for looking! they're all beauties KD!
I think I might give lace a try when I'm done my emeralds (Which could be a year from now). They're very intriguing.

I concur my good friend. Excellente!!!
Did you by chance take these photos w/ any filters? I'd like to see a close up of the one that is in the bottom middle of the first pict that's brown w/ the dark spot. Kinda looks like a black fingernail. That looks way coooooo.

Back here drooling again. What is that nice green one in there? 2nd pic, upper right, the nice agate, you can see the image of the rock beside it. I say again, that is an awesome shine! Same pic in the middle, what's that way cool yellow & orange transluscent one?

Another excellent batch, KD. That lace is particularly eye-catching. I love the warm glow in those Brazilian agates too!
I think CPP (cheap person's polish? ;D) is very overlooked. I use it. I've tried to find out what it is exactly, but there isn't a whole lot of info that I've come across. I *think* it is maybe just aluminum oxide (powdered corundum), but I'm not entirely sure. Most sites just describe it as "alumina based". Seems to work very well, and you can't beat the price.
