Friends say that I should have it cut in half to show what's going on inside. Others say that I should leave it the way it is. I took it to a rock shop and they tell me it's worth a lot of money. I don't know what I'm going to do with it yet. All I know is that it would take a very large saw to cut it. It's about 14" long, 9" high and about 8" wide.

wow silverfoxx thats gonna be a good one you need to find some one close with a nice size saw and cut that baby in half and you will get two nice halfs

Maybe you could get the best of both worlds - cut a slice off or slice it in half and sell the other half - Wow that is huge - my son could fit in there ;D

Whats inside? Reminds me of those Amethyst Vent Pipes! Maybe you could work out a trade with a store- They cut it give you the better half and like 1 ton of tumbling rough- and they get the other half ;D

I'm really big on fluorescent minerals. Try shining a short wave or long wave fluorescent mineral lamp and see what happens. Usually they fluoresce green with some red.
