I finally did it! ;D This is wrapped with 22 gauge gold-filled wire. I have some beautiful amethyst beads and swarovski crystals, going to see how it looks on that. Not sure, might have to just put it on a chain. It's my next eBay auction once it's done. That gold-filled wire was a real pain in the ***! It's much harder to work with than the ColourCraft wire I was practicing with. It was supposed to be half-hard but it sure wasn't easy to bend. My fingers are killing me from pushing at it. Thanks for looking, thoughts and suggestions appreciated. Cher

Well, Cher, I think it was worth the pain and suffering because that it beautiful. Simple, but elegant.
I think that's a great piece of work!!!!! Great job. I'm sure you're gonna get rave reviews and that should make your fingers feel a little better.

Cher, that is really nice. I love the simple elegance of it!
I think it would be beautiful on a plain sterling silver choker. It would settle right between the collar bones and look fabulous., IMHO!
I'd like to see the back too!

Very Nice Cher! Good work there. Next time you might want to use 'dead soft' wire. It makes a world of differance. That's gonna look real nice on a chain! Two thumbs up!

That is very nicely done. I too found the half hard very difficult to work with. Tami

My guess is the back looks just the same as the front. She just finished (and started) it at the top!!!!
If I guessed right, do I get to keep it???? LOL,

Thanks for all the compliments. ;D You know Stefan, I thought the same thing when I saw the pic ... kind of odd eh? LOL Banjo, I thought about getting dead soft but I was worried that it wouldn't hold it's shape. I don't know anything about how to harden it up afterwards. I have 10 feet of the darn stuff, have to use it for something. Probably be really good for making clasps with. My guess is the back looks just the same as the front. She just finished (and started) it at the top!!!! If I guessed right, do I get to keep it? LOL, Geatz Your almost right, it does finish and end at the top, but I actually started it at the bottom and worked my way up. Do you get to keep it? ... hahahaha hahahaha umm no *smile* but you can get it for the right price. Here's the back ....

Wow, Cher, I love the way the back looks.
Excellent work.
As for "winning the prize" well, it was worth a shot.

I too was deciding if I like the front or back better - they're both great - maybe the half hard is better for larger pieces - anything small seems to make it harder to work with. You've encouraged me to give it a try - once I get a decent stone polished. Keep up the good great work

cher great job! i went to dead soft wire in a 22 or 20 gauge. it will work harden. i have some 24 gauge in dead soft but it is too thin and too much like the craft wire. like you, i was just having too much trouble with the half-hard.

Half hard kills my wrist. I use only dead soft and have had no trouble with the work hardening especially if you're wrapping.

Thanks, that's good to know about the dead-soft. Still can't decide if I should bead it or not so for now I'm doing a lot of staring, ;D trying to decide if I should bead it or not. Appreciate your compliments ... thanks everyone.
