Hi guys...I made it up to Montana safe and sound. Here is a view from my motel window... As you can see...it's a little hard to find any rocks right now. We did get a few before the snow hit and I just can't wait till I can get home and cut some of this stuff up. Will get a tile saw as soon as I get home. Will see ya then... Pho

Hi Pho, Looks like perfect weather for a rock collecting trip along the river ;D One thing about it ... you would most probably be the only one out there Oh yea, two pairs of long johns, a pair of sweat pants and my fishing waders ... as long as my feet are warm ... I can deal with wet and cold hands! Enjoy the trip, John

Hahaha Banjo, you're right, he's backwards. Pho, that stuff just sucks! as I think about the 3.5 feet still covering my backyard ... ewwww. Sorry it ruined your little jaunt up north.

Hey Pho- It has looked like that here in Michigan since October! The northern tier states are not the place for the fainthearted... ;D
You gotta love the change of seasons, tho. We northerners could never take the blazing heat of the south for very long. I complain about the heat when it gets to 80 degrees!

Well, it snowed again last night and the plan is we are heading home Monday morning...so it don't look good for any more rockhounding for this trip...at least not up in Montana...might get a shot somewhere on the way home. We will be going back thru Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma then Texas. Looks like either snow or rain all the way back. But on the bright side..summer is close at hand..
