Stinking Water needs to have a good separation of plumes (stink) and water (agate). When there is too much stink the cab looks like a blob and can fracture. Not enough separation between water and plumes not very interesting. I bought a one pound piece of rough on ebay for $14 and it was described as having a botryoidal area and fluffy plumes. I put an old blade in my trim saw and cut it up. Not enough separation. I did trim up the botryoidal area and will see if I get anything interesting (unlikely). I recently sold an inexpensive cab that had similar material so the material won't become land fill. Disappointing but I don't expect to bat 1000. The slab bottom right has a little more separation and will make a better cab. It is from material I already had.
