Well I finally finished up the batch of Fordite I started last week as well as some do-overs including a nice thin Noreena & Cherry Creek. The new 1200 wheel is really doing a great job and I was able to polish out the scratches on the blue chrysoprase too. Here they are top L-R Noreena Jasperr, Cherry Creek China Jasper, Cady Mtn Xmas Tree, Dendritic Opal, Millefiori Glass, Bottom L-R TIffany, flame agate, Montana, Blue Chrysoprase. Can anyone tell me what shape you'd call the little Montana?

Nice group! The fordite is awesome! Not sure what that shape is called. I have never heard of blue chrysoprase. Does it have another name? It's a pretty blue, though, ain't it?
So, it was the 600 wheel leaving scratches?

Either the 1200 was leaving scratches or failing to remove the ones the 600 put in (maybe both with my luck). The seller was calling it Honeydew but that was a newish name, the rough was formed exactly the way the green stuff looks, about an inch wide with lots of brown junk in the edges. I cut those two small so they'd be pure. I thought I had more rough, the seller had more a few months ago maybe I'll see if he still has it. Sourced in Australia. ...ugh you got me wanting more rocks......

Can anyone tell me what shape you'd call the little Montana? What a great collection of cabs, Julie! Impressive. Do you remember seeing this a while back? In the lower left corner is the shape of your Montana —

knave You dragged up an old one!! Are you in line for the travelling slabette box? I can put fordite in it for you. It'll be smallish though, just the nature of the beast.

Those blue ones look more like blue beryl cousin to (aquamarine) is the gem variety. Beryl is non gem the lower grade blue beryl usually has a lot of white mixed in or white strips. Those look pretty nice lacking the white and leaning on the opaque side of gem. Here are three junk but does show the white one is green all from Maine
