Boy was that nice, finding a rock show right in the same town! Lucky girl, you got some nice looking stuff there. I've never heard of Mookite Jasper ... can any of the gurus here explain the difference?
Cher
PS .. Cute cat, mine always love bags better than boxes. ;D

Nice rocks- Cool cat (they all love boxes!) So are you moving to Canada? Or is your husband sending you there as punishment for all the rock purchases ;D

LOL He is more likely to leave me behind as punishment ;D We are hoping to apply in a few months, so its likely to be a year or two before we get there - if all goes well.
When we visit Banff he always has to drag me out of the big rock shop they have there.

Rose, I didn't know that was Mookite Jasper. I have some that polished up pretty nicely...I always liked Canada...specially Nova Scotia......Keep them Canadian monies, another year or two it will be more than equal to USD!

What a catch Rose! Only an Hour In A Rock Show!!! Youve got a stronger will than I have. Great buys in that short amount of time, though. I think that big first piece of Jasper is Pigeon Blood jasper. It's a little lighter that red jasper and has some green in it sometimes. Polishes up very pretty, a soft, translucent red. Here's the last Mook (ie Mookalite, Mookite, Mookala ect) It's just to drool over, huh? That's what I have in Big Red now, along with some Flint ridge flint. YUM! *kisses beautiful Kitty on fat happy head* MMMHA! cookie

Nice rock Cookie !
I could have stayed alot longer, but it was already past lunch time and we had a four hour drive to pick up the kids ahead of us, then another two hours drive home from there - so we couldnt spare the time....or the money ;D

You have some nice rocks there I know you are going to have fun with it. That first picture looks alot like my blood jasper I got, maybe a little darker red. Tami

nice finds at the rock show rose.
love the kitty pics. i think kd's cat was making a shopping list, reading the paper and checking out a little tube when hubby came in so he/she just fell over and pretended to be cleaning the paws so y'all wouldn't know what was really going on.
sands you would love a good cat but you would definitely have to hide that litter box you put your slabs in to get the oil of of them or you'd get a nice kitty surprise ;D.
