Greetings All- I've found that over the course of time, my interest in various pursuits has a tendency to ebb and flow, and ultimately wane, . I have returned to the world of music, composition in particular. As I live in a travel trailer, there's not much surplus space, not to mention the fact that rock dust and electronics are pretty incompatible. So I am selling out my remaining rocks and lapidary equipment this weekend, 9/21 and 9/22, weather permitting. To see what's up for grabs, please visit my craigslist post.: siskiyou.craigslist.org/gms/d/yreka-yard-sale-tools-lapidary-and-more/6980078226.html . I can also answer questions on this thread. Shipping and other than cash payment @ pickup are NOT options, sorry. I will also soon post a complete Inland Lapidary 8" Swap Top outfit w/ many accessories, and also a Mini-sonic Tumbler w/ 2 hoppers. These 2 items will not be @ the yard sale, they'll be sold separately, shipping could be an option, but payment would need to be cash, or postal money order prior to shipping. Thanks for looking! Almost forgot to mention- I live in Yreka, CA in case there's folks that wanna take a drive.

Dang unclesoska I'd love to come up but I'm working both days. Are you selling off rocks as part of this? My brother lives up in Redding so I'm going to send him your link.

Am I reading this right that you won't do any shipping? It's basically a yard sale, so there is no shipping. However, the mini-sonic and 8" inland saw/grinder/lap swap top unit I will post separately. Soon. I no longer use Paypal, so I was really looking not to post and photo every little wimmy-diddle. hence the Yard Sale. Northern CA, and S. Oregon are hotbeds for rockhounds/lapidary folks, so I'm expecting a fair turnout if the weather co-operates.

Yes, there will be some slabs. some partially polished. a little bit of rough, some drilled pendents and drilled stone beads. I have a bunch of agate guitar picks in various stages of working, a handful of turquoise, a few handfuls of fire agate rough, A bunch of 1" cores (could be sliced into pendents or earrings on a trim saw), and alot of misc. Also have some tumbler grits and polishes.

“wimmy-diddle”!😄 Good luck with your sale and new pursuit. Looks like I misspelled it. The folk toy known as the whimmy diddle- which goes by many names, including hoodoo stick (Cherokee)- is reputed to have roots at least as far back as ancient China. As described by BlueRidgeNow.com: “… a kinetic, homemade toy that is somewhat akin to a whirligig, the whimmy diddle is a traditional Appalachian toy commonly made from two sticks of rhododendron or mountain laurel.” It gets better. One of the sticks is notched, and has a propeller on the end secured by a small nail or screw. The second stick is rubbed along the notches, causing the propeller to spin to the left (gee) or to the right (haw)… commands that are historically associated with guiding plow stock through crop rows. The secret to the direction of spin- shifting the thumb’s pressure slightly from side to side- really isn’t a closely-guarded secret at all (sorry, conspiracy theorists!).
