I spend a lot of time looking at odds and ends to make cabs. I decided to work on the larger turquosie piece. There was a nice cluster of blue shapes on the bottom and drew a line. I've never worked on this material before. I ground and even edge and then ground down the top to see what it would look like. I need to adjust the shape and the dome but am pleased with the appearance. I then did the same to the scrap. The darker material on the scrap wasn't as nice. It is interseting how the material can change on the ame slab. I then cut preforms for Morrisonite, petrified fruit wood, gemmy rhodonite and dryhead.

Beautiful group of cabs! Nice to see the contrast between rough and finished.
