Just realized I have a huge issue with the upcoming show. I am no longer able to lift/carry my larger display units. I do have two lighter and smaller ones I can lift. Some other props for display. Last year at this show, my daughter accidentally broke one of my tables while helping take down/load. So, that leaves me with one, 6' table for a 12' by 12' space.
This year, the theater chairs are being left at the back of each space, so I can display some items on them.
Going to need to be very creative with set up. I have a stool I could bring to set one display case on. Might try to talk the local hardware store into letting me borrow some of their tables. We used a few of them for the recent silent auction. Just would need to find someone to load them into their truck and unload at location.
Any suggestions for someone who can only lift 10 lbs? Thanks.

Check with the show to see if they have dressed tables they can rent. If so, you will want to make a reservation. I doubt you can get a sturdy table to bring that is less than 10 lbs, that wouldn't be a disaster waiting to happen (eg. somebody leans on it). However, you can buy table legs from big box hardware stores that you would screw into plywood. You could assemble the table at the site, taking the legs and wood separately. I have only used 3/4" or 1" wood and that stuff is kinda heavy. However, you could zip it in half for two 4'x4' tables. In fact, you could have the store cut the wood for you. When I used to do trade shows, I would take a staple gun and put burlap on the table top and curtains around the sides, to dress up my tables a little bit. I once saw somebody do the same using boxes that had once held a fridge or freezer. My last thought is a camping table. I have a one that is maybe 3'x4' that I have used for years. It has a plastic top and aluminum legs. For sure, it is less than 10 lbs. If anybody bumps it, things would probably fall over.

You can get lightweight, easy to carry ones now in lots of sizes. I have a couple myself.

Tables that fold in half and open to 6' x 30" are about $40 at Walmart. If you're going to do this show every year, maybe invest in one. Lynn

Thanks. The one I have is a folding camp table. It works well.
