Took our little 5 1/2 month old Sid kitty in to get fixed. Doc checked his delicate end to make sure everything dropped and then pronounced him a her. So, she was spayed. Sid is a very small kitty (with a lot spunk). The mix up was real easy. I wanted a female because UTIs in males are just too damn expensive. Well, I got my female.
The first night she struggled so hard to get the cone off. She fell asleep trying. She got used to it, though. It comes off on Fri. I'm sure she'll be thrilled. Her neck really itches.

Well that must have been a surprise. Sue would be an appropriate name.

While growing up, I had a friend whose male cat was named, "Gladys." No other reason than "just because."

No biggie when it’s only the cat. : ) Yeah, and not the nephew. But, as Seinfeld said... "not that there is anything wrong with that." We all get to choose.
When I was growing up we bought an Angus bull calf at the auction. We got it home and the next day, after we had named him Larry, we noticed the urine was not being delivered from the expected place. She went on to calve several great calves and was always Larry the cow. These things happen!

Sid can be short for Sidney, which is becoming a popular name for girls now. What's in a name anyhow? As long as you and Sid are happy.

I forgot about this in all the excitement, but only 20% of orange tabbies are female. We have a special little girl. Her surgery has already calmed her down quite a bit and she is much more lovable.

We got one and she is a problem! does not get along with the others at all. The story I old about a friends cat was also an orange tabby!

Right now, she is too much of a kitten to know if she and Cat will get along. He's pretty old and laid back and she likes to attack his tail. He does NOT like it. But, she is calming down a lot.
My vet loves orange tabbys. I've never had one before.
