I don't collect specimens. My first impulse is to cut. If this piece had any cuts, I would take a slice off the bottom to see what the pattern looked like. I don't like the scene on the face for a cabochon. I listed the specimen on Etsy and if it expires, the saw will get a crack at it. If nothing good shows up, I'll stop but the value of the piece will be diminished. I cut up another polished face piece and got at least 3 cabs but it had an excellent pattern on the face. .
