We made it back home yesterday afternoon. Here is a pic of the rocks we managed to get before all the snow hit. Most of these will go in the wife's rock garden we are going to make this summer. Did find some very nice agates....can't wait to bust these up and get them started. Will set a few aside for slabbing. Got all four of my tumberlers started again this morning...finishing up a load of pet wood polish stage, pet wood 120 grit, mex lace 120 grit and pasture rock 120 grit. After those are done I will start on the Montana rocks. So happy to be home again.. Pho

At least you got to have some fun before it snowed. Be looking for pics of the agates and slabs when they are done.

Hey Pho,
Looks like you made out alright!
Good to hear that you back home.
My boy is currently in Montana, getting the lasic eye surgery done. He keeps telling me that he is going to go down to the creek that runs through his future Mother-in-laws property and see what he can find!
I told him to never mind about the rocks ... and take care of his eyes! But ... you know what ... I am the exact same way ... I think he get's it from his Mother ;D
Welcome home,
John

Phoenix - great collection - before you put them in the rock garden - give them some 80 maybe?? and see how they turn out. Ive got a birdbath in the back garden - i'll have to send a pic in to explain properly - but Ive put a load of tumbled stones in it beneath the water. Only thing is - I hope noone pinches them!!! Thats the thing about laying stones out in the garden. Makes the garden look too nice mark.

The ones we picked up for the rock garden are way too big for a tumbler...some will be the size of a bowling ball....some a little smaller. We do have a batch or two that have been polished that we will put in there too.
