My daughter kept bugging me to do earrings with my jewelry, and like a little kid, I stick my feet in the dirt and refused. They take just as long to do as pendants, they are small, you have to find matching stones etc. etc. Well, if any of you have daughters... Here is some Picasso Jasper I got from Sands and the result, with a few discrepancies are here for you to look at and hopefully to put on my website. Thanks- The pendant is an inch and a half high and the earrings are 1 inch. (I'll never get the hang of putting things in my photos for size.) So you'll have to use your imagination ;D

Hey Banjo, HOLY COW Man those are gorgeous ... you have done an excellent job on them I am going to have to try my hand at wire wrapping ... after seeing all of the spectacular jewelery that you people are making ... I want to try this myself. I'll start as soon as I get the storm door on the front of the house John

WOW!!!
They look VERY good.
How long have you been doing the wire wrapping?
We have attempted to do some. I say attempted cuz they don't look anything like the ones you do.

Tellfamily- I must say that under the tutelage of 'Doc' and his kind assistance, I have been wrapping for about 10 months or so I have been trying to do one a night and that's the only way I learn is by doing. There used to be a super good publication that went belly up, but it had some great instructions and tutorials in it. By best piece of advise at this point is that you need to have good wire and that is a bit costly at times, and you need to have the right gauge wire, and I always use 'Dead Soft'. 'Half Hard' is only good to me if it is not going to have to do much bending and it needs to be strong. I guess the second thing is attempting to be creative without being sloppy or gaudy. I'd be happy to give any advice or help anybody who would want it. Thanks for the positive strokes You folks are my best critics. -Banjo

Banjo, those are absolutely stunning, you did a fabulous job on them! On your website? Aren't you going to give them to your daughter? *smile*
Great job, I am curious too how you manage to keep the tool marks out.
Cher
PS What gauge is the half round that you used on them?

The wire is usually 22 square with bindings in 23 half round. Usually, and I don't always get away with out tool marks, but I do have to use my fingers more than the tools for some of the project. I use alot more wire than I need so I can cut off the mangeled end that I gripped. My daughter has most of my stuff anyway. She rotates my stock, so to speak -Banjo

I sure don't mean to get anybody all 'lusty'. I appreciate all the kind words and hope to make a go of this rock selling, slabin', cabin', jewelry makin' venture and without your opinion it's pretty much a shot in the dark. You folks are a perfect guage and I DO appreciate it, Really. Thanks!! You guys (and gals) are the best!!!! -Banjo p.s. My daughter has made an interesting observation. She has noticed that all of the people I have met and corresponded with that work with rocks are really nice people. Straight from her mouth. And I have to agree
