Hi everyone, Well, this is my latest batch of tumbled stones. Like most of mine ... a mongrel mix of a little of this ... and a little of that. This is Laguna Agate - I didn't have very many in this last batch. This is Red Plume Agate (origin unknown) A closer look Here is what is left of my Amethyst Lace (from Mexico) A little closer look. I have a way to go on Tiger Eye before I am turning out the quality that James seems to do ... each and every time. I am learning ... and that is what makes it so much fun. Besides ... I give these away to kids at out craft shows ... and they don't really care what they look like ;D Good ol Crazy Lace Agate Nice coloration and pattern These are misc agates from Mexico ... now you know why I wanted the rotary tumbler ;D I will most probably re do these when time permits. I did not reduce the size of the photo's ... as PhotoBucket has been doing it for me automatically ... and then when I reduce them ... they are too small to show and good details. Enjoy, John

Yummy Doodles, as usual, John Bear. That Laguna agate is some beautiful stuff, takes a wonderful shine. And the mex agate... I just have a thing for the natural shapes you have there. Wouldn't change a thing. Great batch!!!

Beautiful John! Try resizing your images to be 600 pixels wide. Then load them up at photobucket. I had the photobucket problem too, but found that if I resize with my software to a certain size (I think it was no bigger then 800 pixels wide), photobucket won't shrink it. My son is requesting that I tumble some tiger eye. Oh boy , I'm going to have so much rock in the house that I won't know what to do with it .

Wow, they all look fantastic!!! If I had to choose a favourite, I think I would go with the Laguna agate. Plenty of other top-quality pieces in there, but the Laguna just catches my eye best.

John, those are beautiful! Quick question, did you use a vibe or a rotary tumbler? Do you have any before and after shots? I am deciding between a rotary and vibrator and I can't decide! Thanks

Hi everyone, Bonikow - I used a vibe from start to finish on these. I do not have any before/after pictures ... I really need to start doing that! JKowalski33 - This is a 1952 Franklin Half Dollar. They made these coins from 1948 through 1963 and they are .9000 silver. They are the same size as the 50 cent pieces that are minted today. Pho - It's just a matter of time, my friend KD - Aluminum Oxide - three days - Vibe! Thanks for all of the kind words Enjoy, John
