Please help with my inside curve?

Without a dop stick?

I am with Paul on this one, I almost never use a dop stick. If I am cutting stuff under 12mm or so I will cave in and dop but free hand is my preference.

I was taught to use a dop with wax and hated it. I went dopless for many years. I only could cab once a week and that gave me a week for the abrasions on my fingers to heal. I cab more often and don't like working with sore fingers. I learned about superglue here some years ago and now dop with it. I still preform without a dop including in curves. I cut my down my dop sticks to be very short and I guess I am using a hybrid technique. One hand on the dop but control the cutting with my other hand. For me maximum control and less finger abrasions. The only part of cabbing I only do with only the dop is polishing.

I can't stand grinding my nails and fingers. I'll take a dop every time.
