Andy, my tinfoil hat is my uniform. Usually I wear a tri cornered hat. I am still protesting the British invading in 1812, and burning Washington. Bad, bad, bad. A few folks ask me why I wear the tinfoil hat and I tell them about the Electricals, and how they created politicians and Drs., especially dentists who put chips in teeth. They also tune the satellites to follow us and listen to what we think. I look them straight in the eye and explain how dangerous the Electricals are, and how they put brain worms in our ears and they swim around and make noises. I also stress the importance of putting the household wiring in plain sight so the Electricals have few places to hide. The Redcoats are coming!!! The Redcoats are coming!!! The Redcoats are coming!!!

"Every customer who walks into our shop is the most important person right there, right then. The only foolish question is the one not asked and acted upon." Doc, I need an assistant manager and third key. If you every get unhappy and move to GA... You are a retail dream come true. This is the kind of stuff that you have to hold in your heart and truely believe to be successful. It's easier said than done, so "owners" embrace it better than "employees". I wish I could clone you and Jenne, we could have the moon! I had 4 great years with the company I am with now. The last year has been hell on earth. Can I come live with you and Jenne and make beautiful jewlery and wear tin chapeau and be happy forever? Please? Oh, and I would bring my husband. He could cook for us ;D

Cookie, to be honest, New Port Richey is one of the last undiscovered places left. Prices for homes are still quite reasonable, Tampa is next door, our fleamarket is growing upscale rather than going down. If you or anyone else wanted to come down and do the market here, I would be glad to share experience, and what I have learned. Our house has doubled in value in six months. It is going to happen here, in a big way.

What a cool shop! And check out that cool lookin' dude in the tinfoil hat! You are definitely in your element and right where you belong. Might have taken a while to get there - lots of hard times, but you are there now! I'm so happy for you and Jenne!
Oh, how I would love to come to Floridah and open me a little booth next door! gotta get a while lot better though! Am whippin' up some cool boot bracelets, but just don't think boot braclets would be a big hit with the Q-tips!

Llana, there is a booth right next to us that is now a revolving door. If you wanted to, I would show you how it works, and refer. I have a student right now, and he is terrible. I gave him a table right in front of us. I am teaching him how to solder in a crowd, sell his work, act punched in, and draw the crowd in. What really embarassed him was my wife put a tree with turquoise and coral necklaces and bracelets on his table. I sold them all day long. He sold one of his rings and I had to bring the customer over to him. I believe, the more people doing quality work in one area, the more customers come for the work. Some like this style, some like that style. When artists work together everybody gains. The customer, the artist, the market and other vendors the customer goes to after dealing with us. My wife and I look like complete nitwits untill people stay with us for a while. I wear a tricornered tinfoil hat, talk about having gas and diahrreah my wife mumbles. I have an ad on the speakers that talks about dead bugs. "See Doc, See Doc's bugs, See Doc's Dead bugs. See Doc's Good Dead bugs......." That ad brings in people. No one can believe it. I have a plexiglass shield in front of me. On it is a sign.... Hooter Inspector. It gets wild. People laugh, bring friends, ladies show hooters, I make little explosions, large flames, Pink Floyd is playing all the time.... Today, every vendor complained about the lack of business and a lot are going under. We were busy from opening to closing without a break. Again. I always wear old clothes, I button my shirt one button off. I try to wear one white sock, one light grey sock and one side of my shirt is untucked. I now have people coming from Miami to have me work on their jewelery. That is a six hour drive from there. It is happenin' and their is room for more. Especially, I would love to have the entire isle nothing but handmade jewelery. There is a mobile home on 1/3 acre for 47,000$ ten minutes from the market. There is a great family Italian resteraunt around the corner and they know us by name. I help anyone who wants to learn. I do not care if I know them or not. I want others to succeed. Look on the Floriduh MLS for New Port Richey and check out the real estate! This is the land time forgot.
