Rosebud, thanks for posting the photos. You did a great job. I just got the disc today in the mail. Yeah, that is our gig, five years ago, I was homeless. Today, I have a student and I am letting him have a table in front of us for a month rent free. I hope he gets a bleed off from us and it helps him get his start. Thanks Rosebud, and everybody else, enjoy the tinfoil hat jeweler

Yo Doc, I had this picture in my mind of a little prospector type guy with a foil hat, a missing tooth and a crooked eye, glad I was wrong! Seriously cool store, I wish you all the best! Marian Ps I am probably going to buy that Graves IV, just can't help myself

Cookie, I call that style, Too many Electricals, Too little time. It even had a tail that went all the way down my back. Sometimes I wear a tri cornered hat. It helps keep the electrical noise down while I repair a ring. These photos are publicity photos that are the tail of the trailer of the movie. We'll see. Bulldog, I would go the extra and get an ultratec. You will never need another one. Graves does excellent customer support however. And, Graves machines do a great job. Now everybody will know where Freeze Dried Hippies go.

Very Nice Set-up Doc!! It looks very comfortable, and it's odd, but from these few pictures, it even looks homey. The only other thing that stands out in my mind is the look of contentment as you work. It looks like you have found yourself in a very good position. I'm real happy for ya Doc. That is happiness -Banjo

Blood, Sweat, and Tears. Years of just plain failing, going broke, ultimately homeless. Years of family, friends, acquaintenances laughing and calling me the fool, wanting to quit and not being able to. Homey, I just set out to be a person people could talk to. I wanted to be able to not only answer a question, but show the answer. Every customer who walks into our shop is the most important person right there, right then. The only foolish question is the one not asked and acted upon. When I repair, I show, explain and let some folks handle the torch. I feel it is much better than dropping off a piece and picking it up four weeks later and wondering why it cost so much. Jenne was an insurance agent, I was a corporate head and a televangelist. The world threw us away and we taught ourselves how to do it better. there is no jewelery school that does more than show how to solder gold filled wire, there is no faceting school, there is no pearl knotting school, there is no guide to what works in jewelery. Both Jenne and I, when someone walks up to us, we look them in the eye and tell them what they are looking for. Everything we have and do is what we would expect, and every sale, we critique and try to provide better. Especially, we have no one to defer to. If it is not right, we make it right. We will never be rich, but, we are becoming known for quality. That is what is important to me. We have a sign, it reads.... All Sales Final. We never refuse an exchange. Folks tend to come back and want more. We especially want people to look around other shops. They tend to come back to us and patronize our products. All sales final, except if you are not happy.

Phoe, if you go to Alaska on the anything goes threads, you will see what I had to do to overcome the stumbling blocks. My wife and I are both pastors. We work exclusively with alcoholics and addicts. We use the shop as a nexus to introduce to the folks we work with that it can be done, and change occurs if change is wanted. We are in a major fleamarket and we are one of three vendors who have a year lease. I almost hope, if one of us wants to take the chance, they give it a try here. Jenne and I are working to change the perspective of where we are from a garage sale junk site, to one of artists, professionals and just a better product at an unlikely place. I have always fit better out of the box, and it really works here. In Los Angeles, they were so liberal they dressed alike, thought alike, and got offended at any one who was a little different. We absolutely failed there. I am not used to failing so we left with much speed. Floriduh is wide open to artists and if they are good, they survive.

You are more than welcome Doc, I'm glad I have the space available to do this for you. I think it's terrific that one can do what they love to do, in a pleasant atmosphere where you can just enjoy yourself. I'd love to be able to do something like that, heck ... we don't even have flea markets up here, the closest one is about 65 miles away, outdoor type so only if weather allows. You Go Doc ... more power to ya!!

Hi Doc, Those pics are worth a million to me. You are NOT working with a HAT ON!? LOL Nice store mate, very nice. "Years of family, friends, acquaintenances laughing and calling me the fool" You are kidding me? They arent friends or family. That setup looks the absolute business from where I'm sat - and MORE FOOL THEM. Cheers for the pics Doc. Mark.
