The orbs are the most important attribute of the slab and since they don't exist on the other side, I need to make a flat top and picked a tongue shape. I'll either put it away and thin about it more or trim it. If I trim it, I will need to thin the preform or try to split it. Safest is to take a safe cut and then grind even. I won't decide on that until I trim the preform.

Trimmed the perform and no split.

Since I have the bulldozer Top 80 wheel, I decided to grind instead of using the saw. The yellow will go away quickly and both sides will be more similar. I have edges that I can study now and I'm probably going to flip the cab and dome it. The flat face becomes the bottom. Starting with 1/4 inch preform.

Dopped and through 280 soft. A little disappointed. It's a high dome about 7mm thick. I'll think about it for a while and maybe take it down a little to see if the scene improves. I'll get my wife's opinion first. If I take it down the yellow will diminish. That could be good or bad. Decisions, decisions. Maybe I should double dome it. With a low dome or flat back.

I personally like the yellow with the little spots in there. Gives it character. Nice cab!

I removed the dop and glued it to the face and will polish the back. It's still the best scene. I'll then go back and sand and polish the domed side.
