Hey all you guys & galls who got some emeralds post your pics here of the progress. Since Alice had first started this, I've been interested in seeing what everyone has got so far.
I don't have any - but am interested in how they are progressing... Keep posting ;D

most of my emeralds are tumbling with my garnets right now.
hmmm... I did take a picture of a few while I was taking pictures of the garnets at 1 week in course. That would make the emeralds at 4 weeks 2 days ago... but the picture I have is at 3 weeks in coarse. Let me dig it up and post it up.

hmmm... Thought I had a picture of JUST emeralds. Here's a cropped picture of DRY 3 weeks in coarse emeralds. Emeralds were at the bottom of the garnet picture. I'll be sure to take picture of wet "Emeralds Only" the next time I take them out of the barrel (Which should be at 5 weeks in coarse).

I finally received my Lortone 33B tumbler. I have rough rubies, emeralds, sapphires and diamonds. Getting ready to start my tumbler this weekend. I can't wait, as I haven't done this since I was a little girl and ran my toy tumbler until the motor died...LOL!

I have some really pretty little Montana sapphires that are better than the stuff I tumbled before. Not sure what to do with it. Also some decent looking emerald rough. Meanwhile, I rediscovered all those saphs and rubies from way back when and am again tossing them in as dunnage. I actually do have quite a few that have finally taken a polish.

I have this terrible habit of pulling everything out at 6 days instead of 7. Here's some wet emeralds that were tumbling with Garnets (I'll be posting up pictures of the garnets on the garnets page later on). Emeralds have been in coarse for close to 5 weeks (give or take a day or 2). There's also a few closeups of "clear" ones. There are many that are clear, but the pictures just didn't turn out. It's unfortunate that none of the true colors came out. The "clear" ones are are all a beautiful DEEP emerald green. And yes, when I say "clear" I mean clear like emeralds you see in a jewelry store (It's unfortunate that the camera doesn't show the clarity). Many have fractures though... was expected anyway

I just started mine last week. I'm debating whether I want to run them on the grinder to get them nice and uniform or just let the grit go at it...

I've got some little ones in 600 right now. Not sure if there will be much left of then, but I'll post 'em if there is.

I received my grit order from another company today called Jesco! Still waiting on the other company and still haven't heard from them...okay I'm ready to TUMBLE!!! LOL! I think I'm going to start out with my emeralds, rubies and sapphires. I'm going to start them out dry to try and get most of the matrix off of them. I will let you know how it goes. I will be starting on sunday...I can't wait!!!! Seems like I waited forever just to get the supplies...happy tumbling out there !

Mine have been tumbling for about three weeks now. I'll try to pull them out in a day or two and take some pictures. Trish Jesco Products is where I bought most of my grit also. Very pleased and got it quickly. I wish they'd put the #80 on sale again. I bought 10 lbs. for $11.00 Great deal!
