Found this near a rooftop heating unit I was working on, river rock roof at a local Taco Johns. It is noticeably heavy for its size. (28g) Thank you. Evan

Looks like a blob of Copper ! Wow, that was my first thought but is such a thing naturally occurring?

Absolutely! Chip a little piece off one of the sides with a knife and see if there's copper under the varnish/patina.

I think I overcooked it. The liquid was all black this morning. I think some copper disappeared.

Cool find. I see some Michigan made jewelry with some copper/silver mix call it "Half-Breed" if that's a local or widespread term I'm not sure.

A trusted person suggested the silver stuff is silver. It very well could be. Copper and silver are often found in the same area.
