Will this work in saws? From the website: This mineral oil is very high end mineral oil from Germany used by a US pharmaceutical company in the artificial insemination business. The pharmaceutical company’s specification is so high that they reject 1-2% of the drums on average. These drums are the rejected mineral oil. $275 per 55 Gallon Barrel ($5 per Gallon) Location: Denver Warehouse Shipping: $349 Flat Rate for 1-4 (Or pick it up for free.) Bulk Mineral OilThanks.

$275 plus $350 shipping diveded by 55 equals $11.36 per gallon. Myself and some others here on RTH have been using ultracruz mineral oil and it is good oil at a great price. Spend $75 and get free shipping. That means you can get 8 gallons at $11.95 per gallon and ships free. I suppose if you have really large saws and need that quantity of oil it might make sense. For me I would not want to put out that much money all at one time and would not want to store/handle a 55 gallon drum. If it happens to be a local place and you could avoid that huge shipping cost then that would be a game changer. www.scahealth.com/p/ultracruz-mineral-oil-light-for-livestockChuck

On top of that, I order today, it's at my house tomorrow as they have a distribution center in Dallas. Buying by the gallon just makes so much more sense as far the handling of it. Plus I keep a few of the empty jugs for storing "cleaned" used oil in. Henry

Looks like it's gone up a bit in price. $12.95 a gallon now! Now that you mention it I think it's been $12.95 for a while but not surprising. Last year I talked to someone on the phone (they had called to see if I was happy with my order) and the young lady said they sell as much for lapidary as they do for horse health. Still a better price, especially given free shipping, than any other source I've found (with the exception of drums.)

Looks like it's gone up a bit in price. $12.95 a gallon now! The 4 gallon option is $47.95 that makes it 12.98 a gallon. You need to hit $75 for free shipping anyway so you will have to order at least 6 gallons

I buy eight gallons at a time to qualify for free delivery and was surprised at the super fast delivery to Austin, Tx. in well packed boxes. I would recommend this oil and the super fast service based on two orders.
