Again, thanks for looking. Starts with a "C"- and it isn't "Can't Remember"... Tiffany Stone- turned out a little dull, is this normal? Tiger's Eye. I'm going to take a video of one of these pieces if we ever get some sunshine... And finally some Plasma Agate from Beth fernwood . Beautiful stone...

Could the first one be Chrysocolla?
You did the plasma great.
The Tigers Eye is awesome.

Chrysocolla, that's right! Someday I'll remember this stuff. Thank you, and thank you for the compliments my friend.

Yummy stuff! You really did that plasma agate a solid.
Tiffany Stone is really soft. If you had it in with harder rocks, that's probably why they didn't polish well.

Thanks, Robin! I really like that Plasma, it's something I may look to get more of in the future. So, any suggestions on the Tiffany Stone? Should I try running it through polish again with some other softer stones maybe? Most of the rock I have is harder. And would I just have to tumble it in polish or would I put it in something like 500 grit to start? It has a decent shine- maybe I should look on here and see what others have been able to accomplish with it...

Mike have you ever tried polishing by hand? Get a good polish and a terry cloth towel and make a paste with water?
Oh and C for Chrysocolla and another C for Cuprite also.

Since you do have a dremel, I would suggest getting yourself some felt buffs and some diamond paste in a few different grits and seeing if you could polish them up a bit more that way.
Tiffany stone can be tricky depending on the grade. Some is softer than others. I don't know what you took it up to, but I'm thinking just by looking at it you could go 3K and 14K. I can't see any scratches on the stones. Were they terribly soft when you were shaping them with the dremel?

I like that idea. Honestly it's been so long that I can't remember about how soft they were- but I have a few more pieces to cab. I'll have to pay more attention. Thanks!

So I used diamond paste and a felt tip on the Tiffany Stone as hummingbirdstones suggested. I wasn't aware that I should use oil, I may do it again. Not sure you can see it in the pics but they are way better already. Thanks for looking!

Mike, try taking the pictures from further back then crop and zoom. Also taking a picture from directly above is tough, give it some angle.
