Because if that is what you want, a lot of people here have used a dremel and tumbler or just a dremel.

Yes they will be a basic flat stone (onyx etc 4-7 hardness that I want to make ovals and squares and rectangles) and want to make wire wrapped as necklaces I was going to try to use a Dremel tool but didn't know if it would work what type of head should I use a flex tool with stone bits or would steel bits work thank-you~~~ALIEN

He makes cabs with a dremel.
ETA- I am also going to retitle this and move it to the cab section since that is what you want to do.

I've carved just a few things --- no cabs. Others here can tell you more. All I can tell you is to carve it wet, either under a drip system or dip the mandrel in water periodically. Wear a face mask to avoid breathing the dust, and use diamond tools.

You sure can use your dremel. It's best to cut out the preforms first, I use my tile saw, then I use the stone grinding bits. Actually all that I use are the tire bits, but that's just me. Then I finish them off in a rotary. If you have any questions you can pm me any time!
