Ok, it's Turritella.  Two in progress from a slab that rockjunquie was kind enough to send me. I really like this stuff, even though it can be a pain to work with.   |

Gosh that stuff is a PAIN, I love how the matrix on that is a bit more red than what I worked with. Pretty!

I thought the consensus was it will be turritella forever! Call it elimia and nobody knows WTH you're talking about.
You sure can do wonders with a Dremel. Nice work!

Gosh that stuff is a PAIN, I love how the matrix on that is a bit more red than what I worked with. Pretty! Whenever you get turitella, the darker the matrix the better. |

That's good to know- There's a rock shop about 25 miles west of me that has a bunch of cool stuff- including turritella. I'm definitely going to have to pick some more up sometime. |
