I don't watch tv much, but there was a show on the Discovery Channel last night called Outback Opal Hunters or something like that. Pretty interesting, to me anyway. Man, they have to dig deep for those suckers! π

Dang, I missed that. I'll have to watch for a rerun. Yeah it's a regular show I guess. Haven't looked it up, but it should be on Fridays, 9:00 Mountain Time. I'm ready to go to Australia after just one episode. π 'Course my family just rolled their eyes when they saw me watching a show about rocks...

What I saw were just people basically getting plots of land through what looked like a sort of lottery system. They hadn't gotten into digging much but they were bringing in heavy equipment to go deep. I didn't catch the entire show but it looks pretty interesting.

I looked it up and it was Season 1, Episode 1 -- brand new show. They'll rerun it again during the week most likely. I'll keep an eye out.

Figured it might be a show worth watching. It was on last night, unfortunately, between 11pm and midnight! Way past my bedtime.
I'll watch it on demand today or tomorrow.

Watched this show last night on demand. Not a bad show. Thanks for posting about it Mike.
Unfortunately I also noticed the original air date was Feb of '18. I'm guessing it was a pilot & never went any further.
