Well...I've had most of this for the last 15 years and still haven't come up with the right idea yet. We are thinking of using most of it on the rock garden/pool if we can ever make up our minds on what we want. Wife keeps changing hers .... Will be tumbling a lot of the real small stuff and making a small tabletop waterfall thing out of it.

That stuff would make a totally awesome outdoor fireplace and would work great for a pond waterfall. Nice stuff.

So, I wonder if anyone has ever found a fossilized termite in a piece of pet wood?

Phoenix, Beautiful stuff...I'll take 20 lbs!
I'm just catching up with posts and happened upon this one!
Isn't pet wood pretty much petrified wood? Or is it a bit softer? I actually love the way petrified polishes. I'm tempted to just stick with that since it's so much easier to get a high shine. Most of what I can get is already broken up, but would love to slab some if I can find it. Georgia simply does not have stone like you all have out west. I'm totally jealous!
Have you posted any pictures of it tumbled? Just wondering...I'd love to see it!
;D

Pet wood is petrified wood for sure. I have tumbled a bit and have posted pics of it. I have a batch in pre-polish right now..will go to polish next week. I love working with it...always surprised at how it turns out. If you wish...I will be happy to sell you some big stuff you can slab and some of the little stuff you can tumble. I have s good selection of both. PM me and we can talk price...shipping can be done at the flat rate of $7.70. I have mailed out several boxes of this stuff..averages around 25 pounds.
