Hope I spelled that one right. I got a nice size slab of this one to play with. It takes on hell of a shine I will say it's very smelly

Never heard of the stuff, but you sure cut a nice cab. A type of coral according to Google. The swirling lines and the healed crack give the impression of moving water.

That's really nice. I like how you got the pattern in the cab and, of course, the polish.

Wow! The cladapra design in the stone is nice and the whole piece is outstanding polished. I bet it smelled when cut because of hydrocarbon (bitumen) in the rock. To me, that just makes it more interesting. Scratch and sniff cab.

Great cab. Yes that stuff does smell oily to me when grinding on it.

Chalcopyrite smells like garlic and is rather plesant. Bitumen on the other hand is awful. My wife has a sensitive sniffer and easily gets an upset stomach. I bet I could do a pretty funny video with her where Niagara limestone was the last rock and she would toss her cookies. Well, funny for us but if I posted something like that, I would be looking for a new place to sleep.
