Wife and I took a walk by the lake and found Mr. No Shoulders warming up on the granite boulders along the shoreline. He's about a 5 foot water snake and is a little bigger around than my wrist. That's one of his eyes next to a blackberry leaf. Once I saw one of these guys swimming with a fish in it's mouth. Beautiful snake. I would not be able to walk away without catching and releasing. RickB - Great pictures! I couldn't show my wife! LOL wpotterw - I'd be catching and releasing too...catching my breath and probably "releasing" the other end! LOL stephan and Brian - those pics I COULD show my wife...and then I had to listen the "Ahhh...are we getting a cat?" for way too long! (It was probably only three minutes, but seemed like an hour. LOL) - I really did love seeing those pics - pure feline bilss!

I (of course, photographed first) caught this guy and brought it into the house to show my wife how useful I am and did NOT get the reaction one would expect after such an act of bravery. Ok, maybe I knew what I was doing. It's just good, clean fun though.

OMG! That is an amazing picture! I'm taken aback that your wife didn't take too kindly to your honorable act of pure chivalry! A negative impression Empty calories for dinner A Nautilus and a Clam Are laughing at me You're not going on a diet are you?

Had to share. AJ is obsessed with emergency vehicles. If sees them in person, on TV, or is playing with one of his toys. He is also obsessed with any farm animals and tractors. Last night after seeing a news clip about a local fire, he decided his trusty steed would be a perfect fire fighter. He even said the usual after putting the hat on his rocking horse. Weeeee Whooo. Later pushed his steed around the house saying Weeee Whooo.

I have a ginger, too. She's bat sh*t crazy. LOL!
It must run in their genes, because he's just the same. He will be turning 1 on Wednesday and only seems to be getting crazier. Mine is named Sid after Sid Vicious the punk rocker. We thought she was a boy. After we found out she was a rare female we couldn't change her name because it fit too well. When I have to scold her and tell her "no" she growls at me. I don't know why I put up with her.

He’s been observed to jump straight into walls and has fallen off the balcony in our house on more than one occasion. On the other hand, our senior cat is the fierce one. She is almost 15 and bites when she is displeased with the services we provide, part of which is to provide a lap for her to sleep on while I work. I have scars on my hand to prove it. She also takes great joy in tormenting our two kittens and can make them flinch just by looking at them.
