Easter dinner preps are done. A special veggie/pretzel dip. My Mom came up with this and I have adapted the recipe over the years. Contains cream cheese, ketchup, Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey Barbeque Sauce, garlic oil and onion oil. This was a special request from my Daughter. ![](http://res.cloudinary.com/fernwood/image/upload/v1617537693/qpkbbe0ertpbd4asii7s.jpg) Potato dill bread. Contains potatoes, dill, cottage cheese, onion oil and gluten free flour. Baked in a Dutch Oven. Again, adapted the recipe I grew up with. Dilly bread was always a given for Easter Dinner when I was a child. ![](http://res.cloudinary.com/fernwood/image/upload/v1617537713/mc0mvrkiib193tcltqvb.jpg) I was invited to Easter dinner at my Daughter’s with some of her in-laws.

In honor of Easter. A rock painted as a bunny and two stone eggs. I have had the bunny for many years and the paint is beginning to chip off. The eggs are about 2.5" long. ![](http://res.cloudinary.com/fernwood/image/upload/v1617554184/m6w22bk4raplphmjdqj2.jpg)

Took a short trip in the SC low country near the Cooper River to Mepkin Abbey and Strawberry Chapel. Nice places to visit in the springtime before the oppressive heat and humidity kick in. Mepkin Abbey was a former plantation and the land was donated to the Trappist Monks in the 1940's. Strawberry Chapel is a few miles away and is the only building left from a small colonial town along the banks of the Cooper River. Edit: The oak tree carvings at Mepkin Abbey were made from trees blown down by Hurricane Hugo Mepkin Abbey ![](https://i.postimg.cc/yY62gmGY/IMG-0001.jpg) ![](https://i.postimg.cc/sxjHWzw0/IMG-0003.jpg) ![](https://i.postimg.cc/T2046yP8/IMG-0004.jpg) ![](https://i.postimg.cc/pLhGzqJx/IMG-0005.jpg) Strawberry Chapel ![](https://i.postimg.cc/QNf0zR6h/IMG-0006.jpg) ![](https://i.postimg.cc/zXMpzTZQ/IMG-0007.jpg) ![](https://i.postimg.cc/Zqzc3ZqF/IMG-0008.jpg) ![](https://i.postimg.cc/QNv0spry/IMG-0010.jpg)

RickB that looks so beautiful and peaceful. I've been to the low country, but I never saw these places. Next time I'm down there, I'll have to make a point of it. Thanks for sharing these.

RickB Thank you for posting those pictures. I love seeing those old live oaks with the Spanish Moss. I visited a couple of plantations in Georgia, but not in SC. Beautiful country, but yeah- when the heat and humidity kick in.... ugh.

RickB - those pics of the Mepkin Abbey are amazing - the whole place is breathtaking, but those carvings are pheonomenal! miket - gorgeous shots of the flowers. We don't have any up here, or none that I've seen just yet... stephan - the cat looks more nervous than the chicken! LOL

LOL Yeah, but what he's nervous about is that play-time might be over, and that it's time to come inside. I'm not entirely sure that either our cats or our chickens realize that they are different species.
