One more, another that doesn't last long enough. Redbud tree... That almost looks like a Crabapple tree we had in our yard when I was a kid. Rotting Crabapples all over the ground was pretty gross...but fresh Crabapples picked off the limb made GREAT slingshot ammunition! LOL I have some forty year old bruises from our crabapple wars.

What spring does to my yard
Parasol Aloe native to Madagascar. I picked it up in Quartzsite a number of years ago. The blue leaves behind it are not it's leaves, but a blue agave.
This is a lemon-scented geranium that volunteered in my yard a year ago. No idea where it came from. But I'm sure a bird deposited the seed it came from, as it is underneath the tall cactus in my front yard.
The deeply lobed/incised leaves really do smell like lemon when you crush them!
This is a Euphorbia, not a cactus. I've been doing a better job of watering it this spring, so it is producing seed. Something it hasn't done a lot of over the years.
All for now, thanks for looking.

Stayed up all night helping with the after-prom and now we're trying to survive the rush to graduation for my daughter. Anyway, here's a picture of the prom- it was nice to have a bit of normalcy!

Since it was my first tumbler, the 33b gets pole position in the restart, after...strange to say...years of sitting idle.

Nice! Temperature doesn’t ruin our fruit trees. Squirrels handle that job!

Nice! Temperature doesn’t ruin our fruit trees. Squirrels handle that job! We only have rock squirrels. They don't climb trees, but they'll ruin the foundation of your house if you don't get rid of them.
Of course, I'll have to keep an eye on the apricots to make sure I get them before the birds do.

Went crabbing on the South Santee River in SC this morning. The early birds (purple martins) were out. Caught 32 blue crabs. 16 of them steamed up for lunch.

Had a suspicion the bite would be good this morning so I ran up to the lake for a cpl hours of fishing before work. Caught my 25 fish limit by 830am and even got to work early! My chest freezer should be just about full after cleaning this haul.

How do you prevent them from ruining your foundation? You have to kill them. Number of ways people do it. Catch and drown them or shoot 'em.

Got a pretty good .177 pump pellet pistol for varmints, but them dang squirrels can be a bugger to kill! We've got standard issue ground squirrels here. They will also dig under sheds and such. The last one was crawling up underneath our toybox trailer, inside the cabinet for the generator, leaving squirrel poops everywhere. They'll also chew wires on cars. Fortunately, this one just left poops in the engine compartments of both my car and the truck, didn't eat the wiring.

View from my back yard. Lots of cows and temporary cow shelters. Was told some pigs are in one shelter. Misc. farm equipment, watering areas, etc. I like that the land is being used.
