Nothing like the sprinkler on literally a 100º + day to get Max (Eastern Box Turtle) out of hiding !

The US Senior Open Golf Championships are at Sentry World in Stevens Point this week. There have been some interesting events so far. A couple of fox are hanging out by the 9th hole. One even decided to see what a golf ball tasted like. There are many ponds on the course. They are usually stocked with fish like Crappie and Bluegills. On Wednesday, players and caddies got a chance to test their fishing skills. Rusty Swan, 2022 U.S. Senior Amateur Champion from Georgia, was trying his luck on the 12th hole pond and caught a 45” Northern Pike. He was thrilled to catch his first ever Northern.

victor1941 Zinnia’s are the first plant I remember learning how to grow. I’m confused by the tomatoes in plastic tubs. Is this how you protect them from critters??

Hibiscus in bloom at O’so. There are more, I just liked the sun angle on this one. When I bought my place, there were some yellow Day Lilies. They had not bloomed in 6 years. They're back.

Fourth of July 2023. Second nesting in the bluebird box this year. I checked a couple weeks ago and there were three tiny chicks in there. Looks like it won't be very long before this crew will flew de coop. We had three fledge earlier in the year.
