This contest will be similar to the one ran by BearCreek a few weeks ago (I don't think that will ever by topped....that was a classic.) You need to come up with the exact name of the rocks. I've not given them my own personal name, you need to correctly identify the name of the rocks. I will post hints on a need to know basis. Winner will receive a sampling of the rocks recently posted in the "Desert Glass" thread. Only catch is winner must work their magic on them and post pictures. Sorry my bad......I forgot scale in the photo....average size is dime size. Photo Background: I just got back from the Moab, Utah area and picked up some really cool stuff. My daughter is rock crazy and wanted these soooo bad and these were her souvenirs. The shop owner ID'd them but sure doesn't know how to put a very good polish on them. The bag cost me a cool $6.00 ***************** Hint: The name of the rocks are ______ _________ _______***************** Good luck campers Gaetz#nosmileys

I have no idea what many kinds of rocks are so I'm giving them my own name: "Very pretty stones" does imagination count?

Sands got the first word correct
Moab ____ ____
And one of the other words is in the body of the original post.
Keep at it.....the more people guess the more chances of getting the words correct.

Ok...gotta take a stab in the dark at this...
Moab Carnelian Agate? Moab Desert Agate?
Sure reminds me of Carnelian I've seen, except not as translucent.
This stuff is so smooth, I'm wondering if it isn't in the 4-5 Moh range? Or were they previously tumbled? (Would probably be the reason they couldn't get a good polish...)

Great imagination, but were still getting no where.
It's NOT agate, jasper, desert, glass, prarie or any of the other guessed names.
Banjo and Cher are a little warm, but it has nothing to do w/ 4 legged mammals. LOL.
Remember one of the remaining 2 words is in my original post.
