Tommy Question I know bandwidth is important for this forum. Would it be better if people quoted others in threads that they delete any photos? If so, could something be posted on how to delete photos in threads when quoting others? I just quoted someone, but my original post contained photos. I did not delete them, but was thinking about it after posting. Thanks.

Hi Beth - the forum itself is located on the Proboards server so forum bandwidth is not something we care about, and as long as Cloudinary users have used incoming transformations to reduce the size of the photo being served it's not going to be an issue - unless they are actively posting hundreds of pictures every day maybe. Regarding the forum etiquette of quoting someone and including the same long list of original photos, it personally bugs me having to scroll past it but I don't know if it's worth the trouble of policing it? I'm open to input from everyone on this.

This is a good idea and I’ll try to remember to do so from here on.

Man came in, said, "All rise!" We all stood up, and Obie stood up with the Twenty-seven 8 times 10 colored glossy pictures, and the judge walked in, sat Down, with a seein' eye dog and he sat down. We sat down
Obie looked at the seein' eye dog then at the twenty-seven 8 x 10 Colored glossy pictures with the circles and arrows and a paragraph on the Back of each one and looked at the seein' eye dog and then at The twenty-seven 8 x 10 colored glossy pictures with the circles and arrows And a paragraph on the back of each on and began to cry
Because Obie came to the realization that it was a typical case of American Blind justice, and there wasn't nothin' he could do about it, and the judge Wasn't gonna look at the twenty-seven 8 by 10 colored glossy pictures with The circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explainin' What each one was, to be used as evidence against us
And we was fined fifty dollars and had to pick up the garbage in the snow
But that's not what I'm here to tell you about . . .

I'm open to input from everyone on this. I find repeat photos in quotes to be somewhat obnoxious. If I want to reference a post with pictures I just include the poster's name at the beginning of my post rather than quoting that post. Unless the post I'm replying to is buried several posts back. Is there a way to make it so that hitting the quote button would automatically remove the pictures? Better yet it could make a link to the picture in place of the picture.
