here is a stone I re-found in my car. I had taken my work gloves out on a field call to the Storey Ranch east of Cotulla Tx I didn't want to drive with rocks in my pockets so i put them in my glove, but i gess this little beaut' got stuck in the finger. Didn't find it till i needed my glove for some non-rock related roadside "fun" Anyway I bring this up for two and a half reasons. 1: "hey lookit! A cool jellybean" B: deer hunting ranches are full of "cuts" be they shooting lanes, utility right of ways, or roads. I think these would be easy places to get permissions during the off seasons. Third: i worked as a pipeliner briefly and in that time walked from Cotulla to Corpus Christi and back, through some of these deer farms, and the stone beds I found were GLORIOUS, some of the spots i found can be accessed from the roadways without trespassing(too much), others I couldn't even find on a map if I had to. One day soon I will post all the pipeline rocks. This one rock, hardened steel(knife blade) will not touch it. Nothing handy to streak it on(and i am not sure how that works)
