Finished this one this morning. Going against the advice of rockjunquie and hummingbirdstones I only used 3 wires on this one due to the thinness of the cab- sorry ladies! I'm not sure I like how the curls on top are, any advice on how to change them? I was thinking maybe tightening them a bit... Thanks for looking!

I would snip the curls and push the silver wires down along the bail wrap. Tome they distract from the rest of the wrap and stone.

I agree with fernwood. I have done that before when I didn't like the look of the curls on a wire wrap.

My daughter said the same thing at lunch, about taking the curls off. Sorry to sound unintelligent, but could you please explain what you mean by pushing them down along the bail wrap?

Just clip off the curls and push the remaining wires down so they are even with the bottom of the bail wrap. Cut them at an angle, so they lay flat.

miket there's no reason to use more than 3 wires on a thin wrap, especially when your wires are a thicker gauge. I think the final wrap turned out very nice. The large loops at the top looked a little awkward and you did a good job fixing it.

I think it looks much better with the wires clipped. BUT, you could have kept the curls by turning them under some more until they were turned down to meet the bail bundle.
Yes, I'm with Robin. I think you misunderstood- for MOST wraps 4 is better. But for a thinner cab OR with heavier wire, 3 is fine. Besides it's your party. You're the artist. Do what you think is right.

The heart is more prominent now. How does it hang on a cord/ribbon?

They're not the easiest shape to wrap, are they?

Thank you, ma'am. Yes, I thought about making them tighter- maybe next time. I probably did misunderstand, I'm still learning... I'm still a little wet behind the ears on this whole "art" thing, I've never thought of myself as an artist.

fernwood asked how this hung- actually better than I thought. This is the first time I've ever hung something on a cord that I've made- I figured I'd show a pic. It's the only cord I could find laying around.

Perfect! You did good. It is tricky to get a balance on a shape like that.

Yup, that hangs really well. You did a great job orienting it!
My personal opinion is that anyone who creates is an artist. It's takes an artistic sense to create something.
