I remember quitre a while back someone asked about agate that I think looked like this.I found it on Ebay. Here is a Choice lot of "Fish Egg" Agate from Emery County Utah. Better late then never?? Tom

I think that was my post a few months ago. I then went down there and found a whole bunch more that look just like those in this picture. I've never heard it called Fish Eye agate before, so thanks for the post. I like that name.

I have a couple I got from Puppies a while back that she picked up locally. The are in 600 now. They are really shaping up.

First petrified dino poo, now fish eggs? Used to eat a lot of them when we were kids, didn't look quite like that tho. Be looking forward to see them finish Cookie.

It will be interesting to see these and yours. I keep getting that awesome banding. Many of my pieces would be really beautiful if they could be sliced thin enough to let through the light.

I don't know the first thinks about Agates (they're still very new to me). Those are pretty neat looking connrock.
Looking though the slab mix I got yesterday, I got a few rocks which were edged sort of like those.
I guess agates look better tumbled in slabs or broken up with a hammer, instead of tumbling them whole?
Am I right in saying that they'd just end up grinding away like jaw breakers (a new color every 3 minutes of sucking on them)?

Nice looking rock ...
Its kind of reminds me of Boytroidal Plume Agates ... when cut parallel with the small orbs you might find some plumes ... some of the plume agates are absolutely spectacular!
