Got a surprise package from the multi talented julieooly today! I am blown away by what see sent. It's BEAUTIFUL and the colors are all mine! I love it!!!! Thank you so much, Julie. She made this mandala herself. It's a magnet, too. It's about 6" square. It's going right on my fridge. I feel like Santa came early.  Thank you again!

  Aw *blushing* you're welcome. I made a bunch of those right before I got into cabbing. Gave away most of them but this is what I was doing with my fav's. It's a framed piece of black fabric with strong sticky magnets on the glass. Then the mandala magnets are placed on top. I kept switching out new ones for old ones, then I stopped painting. There's about 8 solid hours of work in each if not more. I have a bunch of those magnets prepped just waiting to be painted but I seem to be otherwise distracted now. And, total bummer, but I made up small containers of all the colors I was mixing and darned if they didn't all dry up on me. I couldn't even soak them to save the little plastic jars "( When I got the beads from you and you had noted your favorite pinks and purples, I just had to send that one even if it's a little smooshed. If you've never seen dot-painting or mandala dot painting I totally recommend Googling it, there are some very talented painters out there. J |

MsAli You sent me to a bead company(?) where I bought that wild bead glass. For the heck of it I ordered a giant bag of bulk beads inexpensively that may serve Julie well on these fine projects.

James, you're the umpteenth person to think that these mandalas are made of beads! It's called dot-paint. What you see is layers of dots painted one on top of each other! You tube has some great stuff if you want to see how it's done try using "dot paint mandala" in the search. |

That is some fine paint work julieooly. Paint is not as forgiving as beads ! You must have seriously steady hands. |
